About the Role An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Field Service Engineer - Electrical Bias to join a leading organisation responsible for the sales, service, and support of advanced propulsion and power systems. This role will support customers across sectors such as naval, superyachts, commercial marine, and land-based systems.

As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for preventative and corrective maintenance tasks, as well as the installation, commissioning, and testing of new products. This is a high-profile role where you will act as an ambassador, demonstrating technical expertise and ensuring the highest standards of customer support.

What You'll Be Doing Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety legislation applicable to the role. Perform commissioning, service, and repair of propulsion and power systems, ensuring products are operational. Share knowledge and support the on-the-job development of others. Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives while adhering to processes and procedures. Provide emergency on-call coverage as part of the service engineers' rota. Compile high-quality technical reports upon job completion, detailing work undertaken and root causes of issues. Use diagnostic tools and methods to identify faults and communicate findings to customers. Make informed technical decisions in situations requiring evaluation beyond established procedures. Support other service and sales activities as required. Maintain stock control of parts and equipment in your care. Perform workshop duties when needed. Travel regularly within the UK and ROI, with occasional overseas deployments for training or client support.

Please note: This role can be physically demanding.

What We're Looking For Proficiency in MS Office and PC-based engine diagnostics/programming. (On-the-job training provided for business IT systems.) Relevant qualifications in mechanical or electrical engineering or significant industry experience. Sound understanding of health and safety best practices. Technical expertise and experience in propulsion and power products, particularly in marine environments. A disciplined and professional approach, capable of upholding high standards.
