Field Service Engineer, Materials Analysis / Thermal Analysis Instruments – UK
The company is a global leading manufacturer of analytical instruments used for chemical, physical and structural analysis of materials. Their technology covers thermal analysis, rheology, differential scanning calorimetry, dynamic mechanical analysis, dilatometry, and other applications. Their systems are used by scientists across the world in the pharmaceutical, chemicals, building materials, metals, polymers and academic markets. The Position: Responsible for installation, maintenance, and repairing instruments at customer sites in the UK. The position is located anywhere in England, with an average of 4 days a week at customer sites and 1 home office day (average 1 overnight stay per week). Support customers via phone, e-mail, video calls, and in person to resolve equipment issues. Supporting customers in the chemicals, metals, building materials, academic, and pharmaceutical industries. Working closely with the service and support team in Europe. The Requirements: Educated in an Engineering or Scientific field; Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Physics; or related field. Comfortable with regular travel to customer sites (4 days at customer sites each week, typically 1 overnight stay per week). Ability to work independently, with natural talent and interest to troubleshoot and solve problems.
