A company specialising in the service and repair of medical equipment is seeking an experienced field service engineer to join their team in the North West of England.

This is a smaller, personable company where engineers are not just a number; they are valued and looked after. They have internal trainers to provide training for engineers who may not have experience with all their equipment.

Tasks and Responsibilities include:

Carry out planned and preventative maintenance, LOLER inspections, and other service activities on a range of medical products such as wheelchairs, bath lifts, beds, hoists, mattresses, etc. Recommend repairs and improvements to the customer and provide quotations on prospective work such as the replacement of wear and tear parts to avoid breakdowns between service visits; upgrades to improve the functionality of the equipment. Maintain full knowledge of the company's products and stay updated with care home equipment developments and our competitors' product and service offerings. Responsible for maintaining the company vehicle, its stock and tools, and your company phone, tablet/laptop in good working order. Responsible for accurate timesheet reporting, correctly detailing job numbers, recording travel time, tagging, and labeling equipment.

Experience required: Service and repair engineering background within a similar field. Ideally have worked on one or more of the following pieces of medical equipment: wheelchairs, mobility scooters, hoists, beds, mattresses, bath lifts, etc. LOLER trained preferred but not essential.

Package: £25,000 - £30,000 depending on experience. Company van. No on-call duties. Paid overtime (x1.5). Total of 28 days holiday. Pension. Working hours: Mon-Fri - 8.30am - 4.45pm with a 45 min lunch break.
