Field Service Engineer - Oxford/Reading/Slough We are looking for a Field Service Engineer to join our team.

Do you have experience working with laboratory equipment? Are you looking to take the next step in your career and use your experience in a field service role supporting customers?

In this role, you will be responsible for installing, servicing, repairing, and calibrating laboratory weighing equipment, such as balances, centrifuges, and water purification systems on customer sites in the Oxfordshire and South UK area while delivering excellent customer service. On occasions, you will be working in our in-house workshop at our Epsom facility.

This position is available full time. You will be working in the field and ideally living near Oxford, Reading, Slough, or Milton Keynes, or living near the M4 motorway corridor with a reasonable commute to London. There may also be some national and international travel required.

Grow with us – Your Responsibilities

Provide service and customer support during field and in-house visits.

Manage all on-site maintenance, installations, repairs, calibration, diagnose errors or technical problems, and determine reasonable solutions.

Produce timely and detailed service reports and issue certificates of analysis for equipment in a timely manner.

Follow company procedures and policies as well as UKAS, ISO, GMP standards on customer sites.

Work closely with the technical team and share information across the organization.

Build relationships with customers to improve satisfaction and maximize retention.

What will convince us

Completed HNC/HND in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering/Electromechanics or related discipline.

Experience with laboratory weighing equipment (balances, centrifuges, or water purification systems) is desirable; however, training will be provided.

Field service experience in the pharmaceutical, biological, or chemical industry following GMP or ISO standards is desirable, though candidates from other industries will also be considered.

Ability to troubleshoot, test, and service technical equipment.

Ability to work autonomously and unsupervised.

Flexibility and efficiency in adapting to changing work schedules.

Willingness to travel.

Strong customer service and communication skills.

Full driving license.
