Our client is looking for a motivated and skilled Field Service Engineer to join their dynamic team.
In this role, you will provide essential support to the Depot Foreman by handling the depot's day-to-day engineering needs. While the position is predominantly field-based, you will also assist with yard-based tasks as required by the business.

Salary: GBP36,000 + earnings of GBP60k+ with overtime 25 days of annual leave plus Bank Holidays Company-provided service vehicle & fuel - This includes personal miles and door to door pay. Key Responsibilities: Perform servicing and maintenance on generators on-site and within the depot Carry out genset synchronization tasks Diagnose faults in control panels, AC/DC electrical systems, and other components Participate in the out-of-hours on-call rota, including Bank Holidays Conduct mechanical and electrical repairs Communicate directly with customers, ensuring excellent service levels Ensure daily vehicle roadworthiness by completing defects reports Strictly adhere to Health & Safety guidelines Maintain accurate service records, including service sheets, PDI sheets, and other documentation Desired Skills and Experience: We are looking for a highly organised individual who possesses the following: Previous experience in the generator or plant hire industry NVQ in Plant Maintenance or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering Strong ability to manage workloads and meet weekly service schedules A full UK driving licence Self-motivation and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team Excellent communication skills A commitment to delivering outstanding customer service A forklift licence is preferred (training can be provided if needed)
