An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a growing global engineering company. This organisation is a leading provider of specialised equipment for the food and beverage industry. Due to significant growth, my client is seeking a full-time, Field Service Engineer to join the expanding field service team.

Key Responsibilities

Collaborating with the service team to deliver on-site installation and technical support for customer equipment. Responding to breakdown calls and completing planned maintenance tasks. Ensuring all electrical fittings and wiring comply with safety standards. Conducting inspections and ensuring compliance with relevant procedures. Performing final tests on completed work and addressing any faults identified. Professionally and courteously handling communications with customers, suppliers, and colleagues. Accurately recording and reporting activities using company-provided documentation. Managing the company vehicle, tools, and stock responsibly. Using performance data to improve field operations’ effectiveness and efficiency. Preparing customer visit reports for internal and external use through the company’s software system. Ensuring full compliance with industry and company Health & Safety policies.

Required Qualifications and Skills

Experience in fault diagnosis and maintenance of electromechanical equipment ideally with FMCG/automation machinery. HNC/HND or equivalent engineering qualification, ideally with an electrical focus. Experienced with 3 phase and single phase. Strong fault diagnosis skills. Flexibility to occasionally work unscheduled hours. A clean driving license (a maximum of 3 points). Strong interpersonal skills, with prior experience in a customer-facing field service role.

Salary

The salary offered for this position is £35,000- £40,000 plus a company van, laptop and mobile to candidates who can meet all key qualifications and abilities.
