We need a Field Service Engineer to join our busy depot in Grays, Essex, door-to-door pay.
Our company specializes in both long- and short-term temporary power hire, featuring a fleet of low-emission, super-silent, and ultra-quiet generators. In this role, you will mainly be field-based, with door-to-door pay for travel to various sites.
We are looking for candidates with experience working with generators or a mechanical background, such as mechanics or work with engines, plant maintenance, or an equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, HGV. A full UK driving licence is required.
Responsibilities:
Attend sites for servicing, fault finding, and repairs on generators and accompanying equipment. When not on the road, work out of our Grays Depot to service, inspect, and repair equipment ready for dispatch. Perform fault finding, including control panels, AC/DC electrical systems, and mechanical and electrical repairs. The pay rate ranges from £16.00 to £17.25 per hour, depending on experience, with a standard 39-hour working week. There are significant earning opportunities through overtime, with an OTE of £45,000+. Overtime is paid at time and a half and double pay depending on the workload. Working Hours: Monday to Thursday: 8 AM to 4:30 PM, Friday: 8 AM to 3:30 PM. On-call rota work is available, offering £100 for the week, plus a minimum of 4 hours of overtime for any calls received. 25 days of paid annual leave, plus Bank Holidays.
