Elite Consultancy Network have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Field Service Engineer to join their prestigious client.

Responsibilities

Self-manage the service and repair of construction equipment. Identify mechanical problems, using technical knowledge and computerised diagnostic equipment. Be the main point of contact for the customer, ensuring high levels of satisfaction through effective resolution of queries and regular communication on planned site visits and machine repair progress. Maintain a sufficient personal toolkit to enable you to carry out the job effectively. Accurate completion of systems/paperwork. Order parts for your work as necessary and to return parts in a clean condition at the time of job completion, to aid the efficient invoicing of workshop jobs. Assist and coach colleagues with technical support and guidance where necessary. Flexibility to work overtime as and when necessary and to honour reasonable callout requests. Attend any relevant product/system training courses, staying away from home where required, to ensure a high standard of competence required to efficiently complete duties.

Qualifications

A formal engineering qualification in Plant Maintenance, Agricultural/HGV mechanics or related discipline (i.e. NVQ3/C&G). Relevant experience in the repair and maintenance of heavy construction plant, including proven technical competence on diesel engines, transmissions, drivelines, hydraulics and electrics. Advanced diagnostic and troubleshooting skills and comprehensive understanding of hydraulics, electrics and EATS. Desirable: Welding and fabrication. Be a good team worker. Ability to communicate efficiently with colleagues, management and customers. Commercially aware, effectively supporting the customers within the geographical area. Problem-solving ability and high level of diagnostics skills. High standards and attention to detail. Ability to understand technical literature/systems.

Package

Annual pay review. 38.5 basic hours per week - Core hours: Monday to Wednesday 08.00–16.30, Thursday 08.00–16.00, Fridays 8.00–15.30. Overtime paid after 38.5 hours at time and a half until 12pm Saturdays. Overtime paid at double time after 12pm Saturdays. London weighting (location requirements apply). 25 days annual leave + 8 days bank holiday. Pension – business will match employee contributions up to 5%. Medical and dental family health plan.
