On offer is an exciting opportunity to join a market-leading company that designs & manufactures a range of transformer components for the power industry alongside offering service & maintenance services to their loyal client base.

Due to continued growth, they are now looking for a Field Service Technician to join their passionate & dedicated team on a permanent basis.

The role will involve travelling to customers' sites throughout the UK to complete mechanical & electrical service & maintenance works on equipment at client sites. There will be lots of staying away and overtime available to increase earnings, so the ideal candidates will be happy to stay away from home Monday - Friday and have a flexible approach.

There will be an extensive initial training program due to the bespoke nature of the work alongside qualifications to enable you to become a technical product expert. Technical training & development will be ongoing long term.

The Role: Service and maintenance work on the product both on-site and in-house Preplanning of service jobs to be carried out (verification of service material, obtaining scope of work) Assessments of Load Tap-Changer units, Power Transformer’s accessories, and equipment Propose and recommend additional solutions to customers in order to improve the asset reliability Creation of technical service reports Dedicated to supporting the company development strategy with other duties as assigned The Person: Qualified with previous experience in an Electrical or Mechanical Engineering field-based role Enjoy practical and challenging hands-on tasks in the electrical/mechanical field Basic knowledge about power transformers (preferred, not essential) Strong leadership skills, ability to make decisions under time pressure Energetic, trustworthy, and a proactive team player; you will be a great communicator and able to be the face of the company in the field on client sites Extreme attention to detail and ability to work independently & as part of a team Ability to travel frequently Rise Technical Recruitment Ltd acts as an employment agency for permanent roles and an employment business for temporary roles.
