Field Support Engineer

with technical elevator knowledge and experience of our major competitors’ products to join our pioneering team in Manchester. As a Field Support Engineer, your day to day will include: Provide remote technical support to TKE field technicians across Europe, with occasional travel to give on-site support when required. Get involved in research about new control systems and digital solutions. Assist in the development of training simulators and product test rigs. Undertake training as necessary to be at the forefront of industry and technological developments. Deliver training courses to field engineers from across Europe. Assist with the preparation of product support content for field use. Minimum Requirements: Proven experience working as a field support engineer. A subject matter expert in one or more of our major competitors’ product lines. Excellent communication skills: verbal, telephone and written. Positive attitude, capable of working under pressure as part of a team. Confident in using your own initiative and proactive thinking outside of the box. An investigative mind-set that approaches issues from all angles, especially for the purpose of identifying workarounds for on-going incidents. Demonstrated exceptional customer service and problem-solving skills. NVQ4 (or similar) qualification an advantage. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). It is desirable if you have language skills, especially in French (Italian or German can be also considered).
