37.5 hours Hydro International - Data Insights & Analysis ltd, (formally Hydro-logic Services) a CRH Company, is a leading UK provider of advanced data services and expertise to help municipal, industrial and construction customers to improve their water management processes, increase operational performance, and reduce environmental impact. We have an exciting opportunity to join our Hydrometry and Monitoring team. While the head office is based in Theale, this position will primarily cover Reading (Clevedon/Southwest to be considered). Flexibility and a willingness to work in nearby areas are essential for this role. Responsible for:

South Field Technicians Physical Requirements: Drivers Licence Required Passport Required Competence & Qualifications: 3 years working experience A good knowledge of Microsoft Office, Aquarius and Hydrolog, Harvest and fieldwork techniques Excellent organisational and communication skills Self-motivated The ability to work well within own team Possession of a degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant environmental field (e.g., Environmental Science, Geography, Geology, etc.) Experience of managing a small team Skills & Attributes: Reliable, confident, friendly and approachable. Good written, verbal and interpersonal skills. Able to work under pressure, manage time and prioritise effectively. Attention to detail. Ability to forward plan, use initiative, and work in a discrete and confidential manner. Flexible and adaptable to meet the varying demands of the role from time to time. A passion for working outdoors in all weather conditions Comfortable working in water, strong swimming skills Confidence in working at heights, such as using ladders, and ease in working within confined spaces. Key duties: Logistics and scheduling of fieldwork and freelancers Resource management (staff, equipment, vehicles) Line Management for Field team Recruitment of Field staff alongside the Head of Operations, both permanent and contract staff (advert, recruitment channels, interviewing, selection etc) Induction for new starters Training for Field team Technical Specialist/ Go to person for Field team, working with our National Technical Specialist. Audits of Quality and H&S in the field Project Management of jobs Site reconnaissance visits and proposal writing Quality Control and data checking assisting the Data Manager To be responsible for the health and safety and Environmental aspects affecting self, employees and projects in your control. Other duties which the Company may reasonably require the individual to undertake The role involves visiting various sites, primarily undertaking field measurements of water quantity (flow), depth, quality, rainfall etc. Additionally, responsibilities include the installing, operating, and maintaining of telemetry logging equipment.
