IBM Sterling File Gateway Connect Direct Managed File Transfer Responsibilities:
Administer MFT infrastructure, including installation, upgrades, and maintenance of file transmissions and related applications. Handle onboarding and offboarding of partners, monitor application server health, and perform performance tuning and troubleshooting, including L2/L3 support. Identify and mitigate operational, audit, and compliance risks/issues. Participate in crisis calls for service recovery, Major Incident Reviews (MIRs), and Service Improvement Plans (SIPs). Own problem resolution, demonstrating analytical and problem management skills to drive resolution and prevent recurrence. Manage critical and complex incidents, ensuring completion within agreed deadlines. Participate in Proof of Concepts (POCs) and other technical initiatives. Create and maintain a knowledge base through documentation and knowledge transfer sessions. Share technical knowledge and skills with team members to build and enhance capabilities. Collaborate with team leaders and peers on emerging technology trends, constantly questioning and clarifying to ensure critical technology issues are surfaced and addressed. Act as a mentor to new joiners and colleagues, helping them settle into the project and providing technical leadership to enhance their abilities. Guide them on new processes and procedures, and mentor them for competency preparations. Promote and drive process improvement and automation to enhance efficiencies and reduce manual effort. Focus on building sustainable, supportable, stable, and robust solutions, including disaster recovery features. Demonstrate knowledge of Service Management (Change, Incident, and Problem) and Agile methodologies. Work independently with minimal supervision, demonstrating a strong sense of ownership and accountability. Exhibit strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Requirements:
Proficiency with the installation, configuration, and administration of IBM Sterling File Gateway (Sterling Integrator) and IBM Sterling Connect:Direct (Unix/Windows). Exposure to Sterling Secure Proxy and Sterling External Authentication Server is a plus. Excellent knowledge of file transfer protocols (e.g., sFTP, AS2, Connect:Direct, FTPS, HTTPS) and related products. Understanding of cryptography and key management (SSL/TLS, SSH, PGP/GPG) and data security. Ability to manage application support operations, ensuring resiliency and availability, including system health and performance monitoring. Capability to analyze and fix vulnerabilities across products while collaborating with internal infrastructure teams and vendors. L2/L3 support expertise, including participation in crisis calls for service recovery, MIRs, and SIPs. Strong analytical and problem management skills to drive resolution and prevent recurrence.
