Finance Accountants

to join our dynamic finance team, contributing across our

Commercial Finance ,

Finance Operations , and

Group Finance

divisions. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated, detail-oriented individual to play a crucial role in shaping the financial strategy of a FTSE 100 company.

Key Responsibilities

As a Finance Accountant at Next, you will be responsible for providing financial insight, ensuring financial compliance, and supporting strategic decision-making across three core finance divisions:

1. Commercial Finance Division

Collaborate with business units to provide commercial finance support and analysis.

Prepare and review budgets, forecasts, and financial performance reports to guide commercial decision-making.

Support the identification of risks and opportunities to drive profitability and improve business efficiency.

2. Finance Operations Division

Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial transactions, working across functions such as Accounts Payable, Receivable, and Cash Management.

Drive continuous improvement in processes, maintaining the highest standards of financial control and compliance.

Assist in month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciliations and variance analysis.

3. Group Finance Division

Support the preparation of consolidated financial statements and reports for external stakeholders, including auditors and regulators.

Participate in statutory reporting and tax compliance, ensuring adherence to all relevant financial regulations.

Contribute to the development of financial policies and procedures across the Group.

Skills & Experience Required

Qualified accountant

(ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent).

Demonstrable experience in a finance/accounting role, ideally within a large organisation.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.

Proven experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.

Excellent attention to detail and a proactive, solution-oriented approach.

Proficiency in

Microsoft Excel

and familiarity with finance systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar).

Knowledge of UK financial regulations, tax laws, and accounting standards.
