Group Financial Accountant

to join our Central Group Accounting team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work at the heart of our business, supporting our financial operations and collaborating with teams across the company. What You’ll Do

As a Group Financial Accountant, you’ll be integral to maintaining the accuracy and integrity of Next PLC’s financial results. Your key responsibilities will include: Monthly Reporting:

Posting journals, preparing financial packs, and ensuring timely and accurate records. Project Work:

Getting involved in varied and dynamic projects, including new business setups and process improvement initiatives. Statutory Accounts:

Assisting with the preparation and review of statutory accounts, as well as information for half-year and full-year accounts. Collaboration:

Acting as a liaison between Group Accounting and wider finance teams across the business, including external stakeholders like auditors. Controls and Reconciliation:

Reviewing balance sheet reconciliations and ensuring robust financial controls are in place. Audit Engagement:

Supporting interactions with external auditors and other advisors. This role offers exposure to our main trading business and the chance to be part of preparing the high-profile half-year and full-year reporting packs issued in September and March. About You

We’re looking for a

fully qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA)

who thrives in a fast-paced, busy environment. The ideal candidate will bring: Analytical Excellence:

A knack for diving into problems and delivering practical solutions. Organisational Skills:

The ability to manage and prioritise a wide range of tasks under tight deadlines. Process Improvement Experience:

A track record of developing and enhancing financial controls. Strong Communication Skills:

You’ll need to build great relationships with stakeholders across finance teams and operational functions. Attention to Detail:
