GES are currently looking for a Finance Analyst to join our Finance Team based in Birmingham.

Role Purpose: This role is to support finance and operational management through analysing information to aid the decision-making process.

What you will do: You will: Analyse in detail show costs/revenues and feed information back to operational/finance managers to support show planning, forecasting and reporting Produce variance analysis for actual results versus forecasting/planned numbers Gather historical information, analyse trends and report in a presentable way that aids decision making and accurate forecasting (including use of graphs and charts) Assist in preparation of forecasts and plan information Provide information on show rotations, size, changes and exhibitors Assist in the preparation and review of capital investment proposals Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts Prepare monthly and ad hoc journals with appropriate back-up as required Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations for review Help uploading forecasts into Hyperion each month, ensuring accurate submission into the US Help drive GES processes to integrate data within data systems Help drive operational efficiencies Assist with internal and external audit queries Ad hoc duties as required

About you: You will:

Be AAT qualified, CIMA/ACCA part qualified or equivalent Have knowledge in systems integration and UK accounting guidelines Have experience working in a similar role at a similar level Have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment Have the ability to work under your own initiative Use the power of analysis to solve problems in a logical manner

Relationships: You will be required to develop and maintain positive and progressive working relationships both internally and externally, to facilitate growth and integration across the business. You will be required to work collaboratively alongside and provide support to the GES employees/departments and suppliers/exhibitors/organisers.
