GES is looking for a dynamic Finance Analyst to join our high-energy Finance Team in Birmingham! In this key role, you'll be the driving force behind critical financial and operational decision-making, using your analytical expertise to support major event projects. You will be an excel super user and will become the go-to expert for Clarity, helping to shape best practices and champion data-driven insights that push the business forward. What You’ll Be Doing: Cost & Revenue Analysis:

Dive deep into show costs and revenues, providing sharp, actionable insights to finance and operational managers, supporting critical decision-making, forecasting, and planning. Data Mastery:

Take charge of best practices for recording and extracting data from Clarity, making sure it’s always clean, accurate, and ready for reporting. Prepare impactful, monthly cost analysis reports that help steer the business. Forecasting & Planning:

Play a key role in the preparation of accurate forecasts and plan information that directly influences the future of the business. Trends & Insights:

Unearth valuable historical data and trends, presenting your findings with compelling graphs and charts that guide accurate decision-making and forecasting. Capital Investment & Management Accounts:

Contribute to the preparation and review of capital investment proposals, and assist with monthly management accounts to ensure smooth financial operations. Process Innovation:

Help lead the charge in driving process improvements and operational efficiencies, integrating data seamlessly within our systems. Audit & Support:

Take ownership of audit queries and tackle any ad hoc duties, ensuring smooth, error-free operations. What We’re Looking For: Experience:

A minimum of 2 years in a similar finance or operational role, ideally within the exhibitions or events industry. You thrive in fast-paced environments and love tackling new challenges. Qualifications:

You’re AAT qualified, or part-qualified CIMA/ACCA. Technical Expertise:

You’re a pro at Microsoft Excel, Power BI and have experience with Clarity (or similar MIS), Sage 1000/Sage X3, and Hyperion, bringing your technical skills to the table every day. Analytical Genius:

You have an exceptional ability to analyse data, draw conclusions, and provide actionable recommendations. You think logically and solve problems with precision. Self-Motivation:

You manage your time like a pro, thrive under pressure, and can juggle multiple tasks without missing a beat. Communication:

You communicate with clarity, whether it’s writing a detailed report or presenting findings to stakeholders, you ensure your message is always clear and impactful. Collaborative Spirit:
