Leading litigation boutique law firm is looking to hire a new Finance Analyst to work across all London practice groups and Business Services functions to improve financial performance.

£50,000 - £60,000 DOE Hybrid Working - 2 days in the office and 3 remotely, 9:30am to 5:30pm* Central London

The firm are looking for a CIMA qualified or part qualified commercially focused Finance Analyst and data guru who can support their finance team on reporting and financial analytics, directly reporting into the Finance Director. The Finance Analyst will be expected to interact professionally with Partners and administrative teams to work on varied projects that include design and develop metrics, reporting and analysis to drive key business decisions.

Finance Analyst reposnsibilities include;

Supporting the Finance Director, business services and accounts teams by analysing the financial performance of the practice groups through routine reporting and ad-hoc requests Deliver financial support by reviewing requests for data, providing relevant reporting and simple analysis of results Liaison with Accounts Payable and processing throgh the Aderant for inclusion on invoices being submitted with Funding Notices Lead meetings with Partners and case leads on matters status, billing expectations and timelines, updates on case budget and negotiations Support on wider projects and initiatives to enhance financial performance and improve profitability Assist legal case team with maintaining case budget trackers to ensure are up to date to facilitate oversight, monitoring and reporting Provide support for the budgeting and forecasting process Supporting with developing the reporting capability in Power BI Maintain a centralised repository for all Legal Funding Agreements “LFAs” and standardised template Assist with allocation of resource across the cases and timekeeper capacity levels

Finance Analyst requirements ;

Degree educated, studying towards CIMA qualification Minimum 2 years in a financial analyst position working in a law firm Knowledge of Aderant Advanced proficiency in MS Office: Excel - including pivot tables/formulas, PowerPoint, Power BI Proactive, self-learner who is motivated and results-oriented with a positive, team-player attitude Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly and concisely with lawyers and other departments *The successful candidate will be expected to be in 3 days a week during busy periods
