Finance Analyst (9–Month FTC) – Up to 35,000
I'm working with a fantastic client who's looking for an Interim Finance Analyst to join their team on a 9–month fixed–term contract. This role offers a great opportunity for someone with strong analytical skills and a keen eye for detail to make a real impact in a fast–paced, dynamic environment.
What you'll be doing:
Taking ownership of financial reporting for a portfolio of UK accounts, including P&L and Balance Sheet responsibilities. Producing timely and accurate monthly reports, comparing performance against budgets. Providing insightful variance analysis, explaining key differences and trends. Managing reconciliations for designated balance sheet accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Supporting process improvements and helping to strengthen the financial control environment. Engaging with key stakeholders to enhance understanding of financial performance and drive optimisation. Assisting with ad–hoc projects, including system and process enhancements, VAT compliance, and reporting improvements. Supporting audits, statutory accounts preparation, and tax pack submissions.
What we're looking for:
A positive attitude and commitment to personal development. Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational and communication skills. A degree (2:1 or above) in any discipline and a genuine interest in pursuing a professional accounting qualification. Proficiency in financial reporting and reconciliation processes, with a proactive approach to problem–solving.
This role is hybrid, with occasional travel to UK sites to engage with operational teams and enhance processes. It's perfect for someone who thrives on variety and is keen to build experience in a collaborative environment.
Salary:
Up to 35,000 per annum (pro rata).
