The Role:

Our established client located around the outskirts of Southampton is seeking a Finance Analyst to join their dynamic and forward-thinking team.

In this pivotal role, you will work closely with the Finance Controller designate and the wider team to analyse data, identify opportunities to improve departmental efficiency, and uncover profit-driving strategies. Your analytical expertise will directly contribute to cost-saving measures and the organisation's overall success.

Responsibilities & Requirements of a Finance Analyst:

Job Duties:

Analyse financial data, monitor cash flow, and review KPI performance to identify efficiency and profit-driving opportunities. Optimisation and continuous improvement experience. Ensuring accurate reporting and analysis of critical financial metrics. Conduct detailed reconciliations, prepare management accounts, and support year-end audits. Collaborate with the Financial Controller to review reports from the DMS (Keyloop Drive), explain variances, and address issues. Support payroll analysis, stock checks, and balance sheet reconciliations. Enhance and develop financial spreadsheets and working documents to improve departmental processes. Communicate findings effectively and contribute to the team's ongoing development and self-improvement initiatives.

Our client will require: A detail-oriented professional with a minimum of 5 years of accounting experience and a proven track record in data analysis. Advanced Excel skills are essential: Macro writing, VBA and or SQL knowledge preferred. Strong communication and presentation skills, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement. A team player who thrives in a collaborative environment and is committed to continuous learning.

Package: Competitive starting salary (to be discussed), plus bonus. Monday to Friday, 8:30 am - 5:00 pm.
