Our Finance Teams:

Our Finance team has a large part to play in the success of our business. We are based across a few locations, but operate as one team, and work together to create a positive, productive and highly efficient finance department within News UK.

Day to Day you will: Work across the heart of the Sun working across our Publishing areas including Editorial, Marketing, Paid Sales and Membership. Report and provide support to the Finance Manager. Analyse results and produce weekly and monthly reports of relevant costs and KPIs. Work with the Finance manager; this role will be responsible for the loading of monthly and quarterly budgets and forecasts. Review results and trends and produce Weekly and Monthly reporting of relevant costs and KPIs including costs of Editorial departments. Run the Pagination process for The Sun at forecasts and report on a weekly basis. Whilst this role does not involve month-end processes, you will be working closely with the team responsible in Peterborough to ensure costs are recorded accurately. This person should challenge assumptions to ensure accuracy and identify risks and opportunities. Continue to look for efficiency and better ways to report KPIs. Ad hoc support of the Finance Manager, Head of Finance, The Sun, and Finance Director, The Sun. What we are looking for from you:

Fully Qualified Accountant with a number of years PQE. Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with multiple areas. Proactive, problem-solving, 'can do' attitude to work with multiple stakeholders of varying finance knowledge. Good interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships. Media/digital marketing experience helpful, not essential. Strong Excel skills (experience with TM1 beneficial but not essential). Life at News:
