Job responsibilities

The scope of the job lies within the Finance function and includes particular responsibility for the administration of the Practices financial and claims systems. Work well under pressure and able to plan own workload to meet tight deadlines. Ability to analyse and draw conclusions from data. Ability to produce financial reports in a wide range of different formats depending on the target audience e.g. tables, graphs, pie charts etc. Demonstrable and proven planning and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise according to the needs of the organisation. Experience

Minimum three years experience of working in a financial environment. Knowledge of accounting software. Knowledge and experience operating finance systems e.g. payroll, payments, banking. Knowledge and experience of accounting policies and standards. Use of analytical skills to interpret data. Knowledge of Sage accounting software. Good understanding of accounting concepts and their application in the NHS Finance Regime. Qualifications

AAT qualification / NVQ 5 in a Finance related subject, or equivalent. Experience gained through work in Primary Care equivalent to Diploma. Physical

Able to work long periods on a PC. Able to concentrate for prolonged, frequent periods. Disclosure and Barring Service Check
