Finance Assistant | Creative Interior Design SME | London (hybrid)

Harmonic are delighted to be working with a well-established furniture business in their search for a Finance Assistant (Accounts Payable) to join their team. The business is extremely well regarded in the industry due to their innovative designs but also due to their inclusive company culture which encourages development. This position will report into the Finance Manager and have a study support package to supplement your growth.

Having just set up a brand-new entity, our client is looking for an ambitious individual who can improve the efficiency of the transactional finance function and own day-to-day finance responsibilities from day one. Reporting to an experienced finance team, this role would offer the ideal candidate a great level of autonomy and responsibility to take ownership of the accounts payable processes.

Based from an impressive designed office, you will be part of a close knit team who are supportive and collaborative. Despite recent growth and several industry awards, the business has maintained their non-corporate and sociable company culture with various company lunches and industry events throughout the year.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the finance inbox
  • Resolve finance-related queries from both internal and external contacts
  • Process supplier invoices and match them with corresponding purchase orders
  • Prepare weekly and monthly payment runs
  • Send remittance advice to suppliers
  • Process staff expense claims
  • Reconcile supplier statements and resolve outstanding ledger balances
  • Review and maintain the Accounts Payable ledger
  • Perform general administrative tasks, including filing invoices and handling related correspondence

Essential criteria:

  • 1-2 years’ experience in AP
  • Strong with Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent written and verbal communicator
  • A genuine interest in furniture, design and sustainability

Desirable criteria:

  • NetSuite experience
  • Exposure to a business with multiple entities
  • Experience with pro-forma invoicing

Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 + bonus + study support

Location: Central London (3 days in the office after probation)

Start date: ASAP
