Finance Associate , you will be involved in all aspects of the core finance functions at Via, including taking a key role in the month-end financial close, accounts reconciliations and technical accounting research, while driving process improvement throughout the finance organization. You will have the opportunity to gain exposure to both the revenue and purchase to pay cycles. You will also have the opportunity to work on special projects to drive process improvements while ensuring accurate financial reporting, which enables data-driven decision-making across the company. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously. You should be a clear communicator and motivated to take on new challenges in a high-growth environment. What You'll Do: Manage Finance Operation Processes: Support aspects of certain Via finance operation workstreams, which may include revenue and/or purchase to pay cycles. In doing so, perform contract reviews to understand and document accounting treatment in accordance with GAAP. Support Monthly Close Process: Assist with customer billing and revenue recognition, supplier accruals, and other tasks to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting that supports efficient management decisions. Manage Financial Projects: Involvement in various finance and accounting initiatives, gaining a deep understanding of Via's operations and business model. Drive Process Improvements: Contribute to the continuous improvement of Via’s financial systems and processes, ensuring scalability as the company grows. Support Audit and Compliance: Assist with the annual audit process and ensure compliance with internal controls and revenue recognition standards. Who You Are: Organized & Independent: You can manage multiple priorities effectively and take ownership of your work. Proactive Learner: You are eager to learn new processes and systems and suggest improvements. Detail-Oriented Analyst: You enjoy analyzing financial data, identifying trends, and translating your findings into actionable insights. Strong Communicator: You are comfortable discussing complex financial topics, ensuring clarity and understanding. Experienced in Accounting & Finance: You have a strong understanding of accounting principles such as revenue recognition with a background in audit or tax at a public accounting firm, or experience in an accounting role at a high growth start-up. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 1-3 years of relevant work experience, preferably in a high-growth startup or a public accounting firm. Strong Excel or Google Sheet skills (advanced proficiency is a plus).
