About the role Reporting to the Finance Business Partner, Disability NSW/ACT/NT/Tasmania, you will provide specialist financial and commercial decision making support & analysis and formulate reports and recommendations in order to drive better business performance across Disability programs. This is a permanent full time role, location Newcastle or Sydney. We are committed to our employees having access to a COVID safe office environment while enabling flexible work options. Key Responsibilities Conduct analyses in order to formulate reports, recommendations, historical analyses and trend forecasts. Provide objective and relevant analysis and modelling to support the development of budgets and business plans. Service various business units with regular and ad-hoc analysis of information to provide insight into relevant business drivers. Analyse, evaluate and report on the commercial viability of various business proposals. Develop and initiate measurable improvements to work processes. Implement and embed all Corporate Services & Finance systems, processes and procedures into core business activity. Coordinate forecasting and budgeting processes based on performance reports and other internal and external factors by staying abreast of industry developments and changes. Advise on the financial implications of management decisions, ensuring decisions and proposed activities are commercially responsible and financially sound. Consistently apply LWB financial and accounting principles, procedures and practices. Support the financial accounting and corporate support teams in implementing process change and improvement initiatives. Skills & Experience Tertiary level qualifications in Finance or Accounting discipline. Member of CPA Australia or Institute of Chartered Accountants or equivalent. Demonstrated application of commercial acumen. Experience in a Business Analysis position. Ability to critically evaluate proposals and opportunities and offer commercial judgments. Business partnering skills. Reporting and presentation skills. Demonstrated experience in building strong internal relationships. Proficient ability in the use of the Microsoft Office suite of programs. Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check and Working with Children Check (where relevant to the role).
