The Finance Business Partner will be part of the UK Finance team, supporting the UK Head of Accounting and the Operational Finance Director. The role involves working closely with the entire Finance team and is crucial for managing and forecasting the cost base of the support functions. Responsibilities include: Participating in the budget process Building relationships with key stakeholders who oversee the Global Business Support functions within BMT. Collaborating with the UK Financial Control and Compliance team to ensure smooth operations. Flexibly covering day-to-day responsibilities during holidays, sick leave, and peak periods. Taking on additional responsibilities as required. Our offices are in Bath and Teddington (London). We support both hybrid and flexible working. Travel to our other offices may be required. This is a Fixed Term Contract of 15 months to cover a maternity leave. About you

In this role, you'll work closely with Regional Budget holders to help review actuals and update full year forecasts, including headcount reviews. You'll assist them in preparing for meetings with the Regional Business Director to ensure everything runs smoothly. Teamwork is key, as you'll collaborate with the Financial Control and Compliance team to understand actuals and set up monthly accruals. Cashflow management will be an essential part of your decision-making process. You'll support the Operational Finance Director with the annual budget process, including establishing review meetings for overhead cost base budgets and headcount requirements. Additionally, you'll assist with the transition to IFS Cloud, ensuring the upgrade goes off without a hitch. Your responsibilities will also include maintaining property schedules for rent-free period calculations and handling recharges of costs between BMT inter-companies. Finally, you'll work alongside the Head of Innovation and Research to reclaim R&D tax credits. In this role, you'll be a vital part of our finance team, ensuring everything runs smoothly. Key skills and experience required: Qualified member of an accountancy body or an equivalent qualification. Strong interpersonal skills and excellent communication. Emotional intelligence, tact, and negotiation skills. Strategic and logical thinking. Respect for the group’s unique ethos, founded as an employee benefit trust.
