Sulis hospital is a leading private hospital in the area and is wholly owned by the Royal United Hospitals Bath NHS Foundation Trust. As well as private clients, Sulis is also seeing increasing numbers of NHS patients and is growing fast, with ambitious initiatives underway to establish a new NHS diagnostics and orthopaedics facilities in the first quarter of 2025.

We are currently looking for two Finance Business Partners to join the Finance Team to support the growth in business. The posts would suit individuals looking to progress within accounting as the team is small and there are opportunities to learn new skills whilst supporting the operational staff within the hospital. The successful candidate will support the budget setting and budget management meetings, the month end and year end process and look for and recommend efficiency savings. The post reports directly to the Head of Financial Reporting and will be expected to develop strong links with both the Business Intelligence team and operational budget holders to improve the accuracy of our data. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate excellent communication skills and an awareness of commercial accounting balanced with the ability to work in a complex NHS environment.

We are looking for candidates who have made progress with an accounting qualification (AAT or in professional accounting) or have a number of years' experience within an accounts department. NHS experience is desirable but not necessary as full training will be given.

You will need to have:

Excellent communication skills, including explaining financial concepts to non-financial staff. Advanced IT and Excel skills, including analysis of large amounts of data. Ability to work to tight deadlines. Ability to work independently, identifying priorities and adapting flexibly to manage these.

Full time 37.5 hours - minimum of 2-3 days onsite.
