About the role

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Finance Business Partner to join our DS Smith Recycling team. In this role, you will provide financial support to senior management by analysing and modelling financial performance, preparing monthly accounts, forecasts, and budgets, and ensuring compliance with internal and external reporting requirements.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

Analysing and consolidating monthly accounts

Performing variance analysis

Preparing and reviewing monthly forecasts and annual budgets in collaboration with senior management

Attending business and planning meetings

Preparing and analysing the impact of business decisions

Interfacing with the annual audit process

Designing and supporting common working practices

Providing specialist advice and support on financial matters to various areas around the business

Supporting performance improvement initiatives

Understanding business needs and supporting the implementation of organisation-wide finance strategies for new business, services, or products

About you

Qualified Accountant

Experience in a similar role in a large organisation

Experience in budget setting, variance analysis, and cost control monitoring

Good commercial acumen

Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Ability to build relationships with different stakeholders around the business

Advanced Excel skills

Salary:

Up to £65,000, dependent on experience
