What you will be doing
We are looking for a Finance Business Partner to provide financial insight across all areas of investment activities relating to engineering and helping ensure our teams across our portfolio meet our performance expectations and enabling the diverse teams to invest our resources effectively and economically.
Responsibilities: Partner across the portfolio, supporting the teams to deliver committed performance on time and at the right cost, identifying and influencing interventions to optimise business performance. Work with business leads to assess and model business cases for current and future Civil engineering investment projects, supporting approvals of new opportunities and in-flight reviews of existing investments. Manage financial reporting and control including APl'y reporting for Civil ET&S entities and for the consolidated Civil Aerospace engineering spend, analysing actual results and communicating issues and implications from variances to spend. Lead the forecasting process (in-year forecasts, budget, and 5-year plan), working with portfolio and programme management teams to agree timetables, requirements, inputs, and manage a consolidated view for all engineering spend across Civil Aerospace. Provide insights to help support portfolio decisions to ensure optimal value can be achieved. Ensure processes and tools are efficient and help drive simplicity in everything we do.
