Role: Finance Business Partner Reporting to: Commercial Finance Director Location: Based in our support office in Alcester with hybrid working (2-3 days per week in the office) Salary and benefits: £55,000-65,000, depending on experience, plus other benefits About us Helping Hands are the UK’s most trusted home care provider, and we’re passionate about offering an industry-leading home care service. We are a multi-site (150+ branches & expanding) majorly private-pay care business employing c.7,000+ zero-hours/guaranteed income carers and c.900 office staff. We are looking to recruit a qualified Financial Business Partner into our successful BP team due to internal progression. The role Along with wider finance business partner team, have responsibility for leading on operationally driven projects across the business Have responsibility for ensuring weekly reporting & distribution occurs within tight reporting deadlines for an ever-expanding business. To ensure we monitor and report on all financial data & prepare accurate and timely financial and KPI reports To co-manage the hosting & reporting for weekly trading meetings with senior executives and business leaders Advise on development of operational cross finance processes to ensure robust controls are in place & meet the needs of the business. Must keep yourself current with financial regulations & accepted practices, offering advice on systems/procedure change where necessary. Liaise closely with our external branch network inc. regional Directors, offering training and support on understanding financial information. What you'll do Visiting and supporting the key stakeholders around the country with management financial information and understanding (usually within your designated region(s)) Build/design new reporting techniques in excel, in line with operational requirements and in conjunction with BI team To work with FC/FD to suggest ways to develop finance processes to ensure controls are robust & in line with requirements of the business Ad-hoc analysis of financial trends. Supporting the FD / Head of FP&A in their role Assist in weekly trading reporting and meetings with SMT & Exec each Monday Translation of financial data to operational team members Help develop new reporting in excel, dashboards & financial summaries for operations Ensure all KPI’s & month-end reporting deadlines are met Perform internal audits of our systems where necessary, monitoring & reporting on any financial discrepancies (exception reporting) Who you are Advanced skills with Excel (e.g. use of pivot tables, complex linked formulae and data manipulation of data downloaded from other systems) non-negotiable Presentation skills, experience of producing and delivering branded high quality presentations for senior leaders Qualified as an accountant (ACCA, ACA, AAT, CIMA) and by experience (documented) Solid knowledge of current accounting regulations Time-management ability Must be able to work autonomously, and give input into best practice Excellent communication skills – especially to non-finance staff Strong service ethic Highly organised Great attention to detail Happy to travel ad-hoc across England & Wales Ideally experienced in a growing business environment A person who can build strong working relationships with external teams, offering help on cost reduction strategies, budgeting processes & financial opportunities A strong, driven character who can evaluate results and communicate opinions and suggestions effectively Comfortable building & delivering detailed ‘non-finance friendly’ presentations Technical excel knowledge to a high level Experienced working in a finance/process driven environment. Able to work independently but also work as part of a team. Able to work well under pressure in a high-volume transactional environment. Deadline orientated, statistical approach to problem solving Personable, friendly and patient
