The Finance Operational Analysis teams provide dedicated financial support to the Manufacturing and Production functions of our business. This role is central to delivery of a number of key processes and offers visibility at Senior Exec level and wider Pernod Ricard HQ.
Your unique contribution
You will mainly be responsible for overseeing and leading a number of key areas including Chivas Brothers Gross margin analysis, Standard Costing Process, Transfer Pricing and support New Product Development Area.
Business Partnering:
Collaborate with various operational functions to provide financial guidance on key projects particularly in relation to NPD, operational excellence Initiatives and business case analysis.
Support operational teams in identifying cost saving opportunities and process improvements within the manufacturing operations.
Responsible for co-ordinating key financial processes, consolidating data for Actuals, ensuring deadlines are adhered to with accurate financial information and supporting analysis.
Development of systems and processes to drive efficiency and speed of analysis and business reporting.
Forecasting and Planning:
Lead the wider margin and costing team in delivery of the annual standard costing & Transfer pricing cycle to ensure all processes delivered to agreed timelines incl. Cost of Goods forecasting and reporting.
Provide insight and support to wider PROA team to ensure all relevant inputs, in particular COGS reporting is delivered as part of planning timelines.
Month-end Reporting:
Monthly review with finance stakeholders and HQ business analysts.
Manage Gross margin P&L reporting with detailed analysis; Volume, COGS, Net Sales, Mix, Margins in Stock, Missing Standard costs & Transfer prices to required timelines.
Provide meaningful analysis & commentary for Internal & HQ reporting.
Liaise with other finance departments, Reporting & Financial Accounting teams to integrate inputs on key P&L drivers.
Lead the standard costing team ensuring all HQ system submissions are managed in line with Group Reporting requirements.
Ownership of resolving all subsequent queries from HQ, Pernod Ricard affiliates or other key stakeholders.
Work with relevant Finance stakeholders on key month end learnings to drive process improvement and efficiency.
Other broader responsibilities:
Provide input to the wider team in the submission and analysis of Chivas Brother’s monthly P&L. Responsible for the accuracy of accounting in specific areas and work with wider finance team to submit in line with HQ timeframes.
Continuously review and communicate on changing horizon on deliverables from HQ and ensure alignment with wider team.
Highlight Risks and Limitations in delivery at each stage – agreeing mitigations with Senior Management.
Drive continuous improvement to processes, systems and ways of working ensuring quality and relevance of commentary always delivered.
Involved in Transformation projects, e.g. Polaris improvements, PowerBi or Project LEAP: leveraging HQ and internal expertise.
Who you’ll be working with
Internally,
you will collaborate directly with Pernod Ricard HQ teams, manufacturing operational teams, wider Finance team, Customer Service, NPD teams and Chivas Brothers Exec.
Externally,
you will collaborate directly Group HQ business analysis, Market Companies and Management Units operating within Chivas Brothers legal perimeter.
Your blend of talent
Are available for a 12-month fixed term contract.
Have relevant finance experience and recognized accountancy qualification (CIMA/ACCA).
Advanced knowledge of the functionality & capability of Oracle E1, Essbase & Polaris is a plus. Highly proficient in Microsoft Office - Excel, PowerPoint, Word & Teams.
Strong people and process management skills capable of planning resources and workloads to ensure functional deliverables are achieved.
Very strong inter-personal, communication and influencing skills to drive performance and delivery across teams and through key processes.
Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work out problems from first principles rather than only from past experience.
Are proactive and results orientated, exhibiting high levels of accuracy and quality in your work.
