Are you a finance professional experienced in manufacturing product costings? Do you have strong commercial acumen and have a desire to implement change?

If so, this role could be perfect for you!

This is a new role to support the Operations Manager of this £20m turnover manufacturing plant in Northampton. You will guide site performance & initiatives through the provision of timely, accurate & insightful information. This is an exciting time to join this growing business as you can implement change.

Key duties and responsibilities of the Finance Business Partner:

Cost Variance Analysis - create and embed a robust, system-integrated bill of material and standard costing methodology and process Develop tools and reports to provide real-time visibility into cost drivers and variances Budget Adherence: support the creation of operational budgets, providing historical data and trends for accuracy Partner with departmental heads to ensure accurate budget compliance by providing periodic reviews and financial insights Design and produce insightful financial reports tailored for senior management, including KPIs, operational metrics and cost breakdowns Develop dashboards and visual tools to track operational performance against targets Cost Savings and Process Optimisation: Work closely with operations to identify and implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality or production efficiency

Key experience and skills required for the Finance Business Partner: Qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA or working toward) with solid financial acumen; Strong finance business-partnering skills; Experience in manufactured product costing and inventory management; Driven to implement, automate and streamline efficient and effective financial and business processes; Must have advanced excel skills and proficiency with an ERP package (preferably SAP), with competency in Power BI advantageous; Confident in influencing internal and external stakeholders, with a track record of building strong relationships, and able to work independently and as part of a team;
