We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Finance Business Partner to join our team working flexibly under a hybrid model both in the office and at home. The role sits within our street lighting and highways electrical infrastructure business 'Connected Cities'.
The Finance Business Partner will be responsible for supporting the General Manager, in providing a full management accounting service and delivering professional, timely and accurate financial reporting & forecasting service to our Connected Cities business unit. The role will be based in our Sittingbourne office.
Key activities:
Produce timely, accurate, and compliant production of monthly management accounts pack Monitor, track and evaluate the operational expenses in the month and recommend efficiencies where possible Prepare and post monthly journals including accruals & prepayments Perform forecasts, budget preparation and variance analysis Support operational management with detailed contract reviews including cost analysis Oversee the preparation and consolidation of schedules for year-end audit purposes Ensure invoices are raised in accordance with contracts and company policies Manage debt collection, WIP recovery and review of BIA Oversee the rolling cash flow reporting and evaluation
Skills, qualifications & experience:
Previous experience with operational management accounts Must be able to evaluate complex data and have sound problem solving skills Self-motivated with strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to effectively multitask and work unsupervised Strong Excel knowledge Must be willing to travel to multi sites to support operational teams Ideally CIMA or ACCA part-qualified (or working towards)
