Job Summary The Finance Business Partner reports to the Head of Financial Management. The main duties are leading a team of management accountants in the delivery of a high-quality service for the leaders and managers within the directorate. This includes all aspects of financial management, supporting the budget holders, overseeing, and giving expert advice to the business units by identifying, collating and analysing key information from operational and support services to produce meaningful and insightful reports. The role also includes an element of NHSE monthly reporting, compiling robust auditable working papers and assisting in the preparation of the month 9 and year-end accounts.

Main Duties of the Job We are looking for an enthusiastic leader to join our friendly and inclusive team, playing a pivotal role in shaping what our service delivery will look like in the future and how we can make a difference in the ever-changing and challenging finance environment. The financial management team seeks to achieve optimum value for money in all of the Trust's services. It does this by supporting managers to understand the economy, efficiency, and effectiveness of the resources within their control. The post holder will need to produce insightful financial analysis and be persuasive when dealing with conflicting priorities, ensuring financial opportunities and risks are quantified and understood by various stakeholders.

We want to recruit a diverse workforce, who are values-driven, compassionate, and have a desire to deliver high-quality care every day. This role is about planning for the future and making sure the actions we take today will defend the long-term financial sustainability of the Trust. Whilst previous NHS experience can be a strength, we are also keen to hear from those who have never thought of working for the NHS before. Either way, we are looking to bring in fresh views and new practices.

This post is based in Kettering but the postholder must be able to travel independently to other bases in the Trust across Northamptonshire. Part-time would be considered.
