Role Overview:

As Finance Business Partner, you will play a vital role in providing insight and analysis to support strategic initiatives. You will be responsible for management accounting and variance analysis, budgeting and forecasting, tax preparations, supporting project accounting, business partnering across the wider organisation, and assisting in the continuous improvement of financial processes and systems.

You will be part of an empowered team, playing a pivotal role in influencing and adding value to the organisation.

In this role, you will work closely with the Head of Finance, Finance officer, and the Commercial Accounting team, as well as other colleagues across the organisation, contributing to the BlueLight Commercial culture of being a high-performing team delivering commercial excellence to make a real difference.

My Responsibilities and Accountabilities: Management of the day-to-day accounting function, overseeing purchase ledger, sales ledger, banking functions, financial statements. Ownership of monthly management accounts pack, together with variance analysis and commentary in accordance with the reporting timetable. Review and in-depth reconciliation of revenue recognition. Management of project accounting, project variance analysis and reporting, with support to the wider organisation. Budgeting and forecasting. Financial modelling to support business strategy. Review of VAT, Corporation Tax. Contribution to establishing more effective processes and controls to ensure the integrity of accounting records. Supporting a continuous improvement program, including the utilisation of technology and a new financial system to streamline financial business processes. Act as a trusted business partner to the wider organisation, providing valuable financial insights. Coordinate statutory audit and accounts processes, working closely with external auditors. Deputising for Head of Finance as required. Undertaking any other work as directed by your line manager in connection with your job as may be requested. Qualifications & Accreditations:

Qualified ACCA / CIMA / ACA and/or a minimum of 3 years' experience within a similar role. Experience & Knowledge:

Strong management accounting skills. Proficiency in financial modelling and forecasting. Excellent technical accounting knowledge. Experience with complex revenue recognition. Skills:

Analytical, skilled with an evidence-based approach, skilled at understanding data and making judgements, visualisations, able to work on complex issues, communicates recommendations and solutions in a clear and concise manner. Broad technology competence with solid experience with technology/systems/software.
