The opportunity: Set annual budgets in conjunction with budget holders and forecast throughout the year as required. Produce monthly management accounts to agreed deadlines, including detailed and accurate variance analysis and commentary, and KPI/BI data. Distribute weekly sales reports and individual monthly reports to budget holders and senior stakeholders, meet with each as required and respond to requests for financial information and analyses. Work closely with relevant budget holders to provide analysis and deliver insight into their weekly/monthly/quarterly/annual financial data, as well as provide more ad-hoc flash reporting when required. Ensure balance sheet reconciliations are completed at month end, and action any outstanding items in a timely manner. Ownership of the Retail & Licensing Fixed Asset register, including fixed asset accounting and analysis. Responsible for the tracking of any capital projects, including monitoring and reporting of ROI. Provide regular stock sell information to senior stakeholders through reporting, ensuring monthly stock valuation accurately reflects physical stock holding and reconciles to the system. You'll be the ideal candidate for this position if you have: Experience of working in Finance within the Retail sector. Good working knowledge of Retail VAT accounting. Experience and the ability to produce monthly accounts, budgets, and forecasts. A proactive mindset in looking for ways of improving/optimising financial processes - in terms of efficiency and quality of output. The ability to negotiate with and influence senior operational business leaders. The ability to effectively summarise and interpret data. Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
