Our client is a dynamic, highly commercial, rapidly expanding, market leading supplier of innovative technology products into the defence and security industries. Already well-established, they are looking to double in size over the next couple of years, both in the UK and their offices in Europe and the Middle East. They now seek a personable and capable Finance Business Partner, on a 14-month maternity contract, to work with the programme office to ensure that projects are financially and commercially robust. You will act as their trusted adviser and assist with their decision making. This is a hands-on role reporting to the Chief Financial Officer. Key responsibilities of the

Finance Business Partner:

Ensuring projects are financially and commercially robust. Making sure all income and costs are captured and reported. Play a key part in helping the business to understand key areas of financial focus such as customer profitability and margin analysis. Controlling costs and working with both Supply Chain and Operations to drive efficiency and cost savings. Support Sales on larger or more complex bid submissions. Line management of Accounts Assistant. Support the production of high quality and accurate P&L and cash flow forecasts including the timely creation of monthly management accounts and reporting. Provide financial information to challenge the programme office thinking to help them make more informed decisions. Ensure key operational, commercial and financial targets are achieved. Build partnerships and strong relations with all senior managers and provide financial support to commercial decision making. Present financial performance, forecasts, budgets including financial opportunities and risks for all projects. Assist with year-end audit for all entities within the group. Provide support with budgeting and reporting. Follow standards and ensure compliance with financial regulations along with company policies and procedures. Recommend and implement process improvements and automation to achieve better results. Any other reasonable duties required to support the company in meeting its objectives.
