The Functions Finance Business Partnering team forms part of the Finance & Commercial function within Bupa BGIUK. The team’s role is to provide finance support & challenge for the BGIUK Functions and to support Bupa UK’s change agenda through good governing and reporting of programmes. The role of Finance Business Partner is to support this outcome in respect of the specific functions while working closely with the Functional Leadership enabling robust financial decision-making in everything they do. How you’ll help us make health happen: Ensure appropriate cost control around activities of defined BGUK Functions. Ensure that actual, forecast, and budgeted costs are fully understood by budget holders at all times. Act as a conduit for all cost issues and ensure appropriate information is provided. Support the identification and delivery of cost-saving initiatives. Provide insightful MI and commentary. Provide support to business planning, budgeting, and forecasting activity. Provide commercial support and, as appropriate, challenge to proposed activity, performing financial analysis including investment appraisal as necessary. Provide support and analysis to strategy proposals, including scenario and sensitivity analysis, commercial appraisals, etc. Be seen as a true partner to the Functional leadership team, building strong relationships with key stakeholders and customers. Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role: Fully qualified accountant Extensive commercial finance experience in the following areas: reporting, planning, forecasting, cost control, and business partnering. Flexible, objective, and pragmatic. Able to work under significant pressure and intensity – handling multiple conflicts of interest and priorities and capable of providing insightful and balanced views on business risks and issues. Developed influencing and negotiation skills and the ability to achieve results and successful outcomes from others where there is no shared line management. Objective, analytical, and lateral thinking with a ‘can-do’ attitude with the ability to summarize and communicate complicated technical issues.
