PURPOSE

The role is responsible for providing finance support to the Rental Division senior management team (including Central Operations Area Director, Production Planning teams, CI teams and Customer Services). Key objectives of the role are to ensure appropriate financial focus, rigour, insight and challenge in order to identify opportunities and to mitigate risk. The role exists to support internal customers in all finance and accounting matters including budgeting, forecasting and cost control.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

Primary Finance Support:

Collaborate with the Regional Director/MD and their teams on all finance-related matters. Management Accounts:

Analyse and interpret monthly management accounts, providing insightful commentary on budget performance, forecasts, and historical data. Take ownership of specific P&L lines to deliver a comprehensive business perspective. Sales Performance Support:

Analyse and challenge rental fleet utilisation, rental and transport rates, and 360 products to meet budget and forecast targets. Reporting:

Create monthly regional/OBU trading and reporting packs, including league tables for depot and salesperson performance. Forecasting and Budgeting:

Develop quarterly forecasts and annual budgets for all depots and regional functions. Provide insights and analysis to highlight long-term trends to key stakeholders. Initiative Support:

Assist in identifying and implementing business initiatives by preparing business cases with robust financial models. P&L Analysis:

Conduct detailed financial analysis of the Delivery & Installation P&L segment, identifying opportunities for cost savings or margin improvements. Cost Monitoring:

Oversee maintenance costs per unit and challenge production efficiency in the end-to-end yard process to ensure optimal cost per unit. Contract Profitability:

Assess and review end-to-end contract profitability, making recommendations to senior stakeholders to enhance performance across various customers and products. Month-End Support:

Aid financial accounting teams by providing operational insights into month-end numbers and additional analysis needed for external reporting. FP&A Requirements:

Fulfill FP&A needs across the P&L, covering Sales, Cost of Sales (GPC), Cost to Serve (D&I), SG&A, working capital, and Capex, in addition to regional business partnering.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU Qualified Accountant Minimum 3 years' experience in FP&A/FBP role Strong analytical skills & ability to manipulate large data sets Confident communicator with the ability to manage a diverse set of senior stakeholders Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build trust and influence at a senior level Advanced Microsoft Excel skills Able to work independently Proactive in approach Able to prioritise effectively to focus on high impact activities Strong commercial acumen DIVERSITY & INCLUSION
