Finance Business Partner Telford / Market Drayton (Hybrid) Seymour John is proud to be partnering with a true market leader. My client, a FMCG international household name, seeks to recruit a Finance Business Partner as a result of internal promotion. In this role, you will act as the conduit between finance and the commercial teams. We’re looking for an experienced individual to act as a key commercial business partner supporting the Sales Financial Controller in business partnering the Commercial team. You will provide day-to-day and strategic financial and commercial decision support ensuring robust financial data and commercial forecasts. Business Partner the Sales Teams providing financial and commercial decision support and insight to drive the business forward in these areas. Management of Customers P&L’s. Evaluation and development of individual customer business plans. Input into the Sales business review process. Input into the monthly promotional management process. Dealing with day-to-day queries from your key contacts. Ad-hoc reporting and analysis. Build strong relationships across the commercial teams to ensure involvement in decision up-front. Attend Sales Business review and pre-meetings providing support and analysis to feed into the presentation. Review, analyse and challenge risk and opportunities and commercial forecast. Analyse monthly financial forecast to provide insight into key changes by customer and brand, explaining variances vs previous forecast, budget and prior year result. Review with the commercial team of YTD and YTG full year sales forecast and associated CM, ensuring plans are sufficient to meet the annual targets. Analysis of performance vs forecast & prior year. Preparation of required journal postings. Month End Day 5/6/7 preparation and reporting. Provide commentary on key drivers of performance for customer base. On an annualised basis, (July-September), lead the commercial teams for Business Unit area through the commercial budgeting process ensuring that robust plans are developed which meet the issued top-down targets. Key skills & experience for the Finance Business Partner: Recognised Accounting qualification (CIMA / ACCA / ACA) preferred but open-minded to QBE’s. Ability to manage a wide-ranging stakeholder base across the business. Able to work to tight deadlines with agility and proficiency. Time Management. Willingness to drive change and process improvements. Advice and support of strategic changes affecting sales and wider business. Ability to provide decision support & challenge to the commercial teams. Relationship building and communication skills. Financial and commercial modelling skills. Structured approach to managing priorities across multiple projects over different time horizons. Ability to operate at all levels within the commercial teams. Stakeholder Management. Management of multi projects. Commercially minded.
