I am delighted to be supporting a cutting-edge technology business based in Cambridge, who are recruiting a Finance Director.

This is a rare opportunity for a high-calibre Financial Controller who is seeking their first Finance Director role; established Finance Directors will also be considered.

The role reports to the COO and is a key member of the senior management team. You will be responsible for developing the company's financial strategy and contributing to their strategic goals, growth, and stability.

Duties include: Provide direct financial support to the COO and act as a trusted business partner to the senior management team Mentor and lead the finance team Provision of timely monthly financial and management accounting reports to the business Support the transition from the legacy accounting software package onto a cloud-based platform Improve/implement financial and management accounting systems, processes, procedures, and controls Responsibility for budgeting, forecasting, planning, and development of KPIs and profitability analyses Responsibility for treasury management including cash flow forecasts, forex controls, and hedging recommendations Produce statutory accounts, annual tax calculations including R&D tax credits, and manage the external audit process with the auditors

Interested candidates should be qualified - ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent and will possess significant PQE. You will have strong knowledge of reporting standards and will ideally have experience in group, multi-currency, and international finance environments. Finally, you will ideally have prior experience of working within a technology business; software/hardware or biotech.
