Their intelligent, self-learning logistics platform integrates advanced robotics, machine vision, and data-driven optimisation, creating seamless, autonomous fleets for urban and industrial environments. With a focus on sustainability and efficiency, their systems reduce costs, minimise environmental impact and unlock new productivity levels. As they look to expand internationally, they remain at the forefront of AI innovation, setting the standard for autonomous technologies.

Their culture is fast-paced, collaborative and deeply innovative. They foster an environment where creativity meetings cutting-edge technology, and every team member plays a critical role in shaping the future. With rapid financial growth, a strong commitment to R&D, and a dedication to professional development, they offer opportunities to make an impact in a company poised to redefine entire industries. They are driven by a mission to make the world smarter, safer, and more efficient, and we are seeking a passionate individual who wants to be part of their transformative journey.

The Role:

We are seeking an experienced Finance Director with strong commercial acumen to drive our client’s financial strategy, reporting directly to the CFO. Experience in guiding a company through rapid growth, from early-stage VC funding to exit, is particularly relevant.

As a seasoned commercial leader, you will have a proven track record of managing high-performing teams, delivering strategic initiatives, and scaling businesses. While there is a capable team managing business-as-usual finance operations, you will still need to take a hands-on approach to day-to-day financial activities. This role requires a dynamic leader who can dive into the details when needed, making it unsuitable for those who prefer a hands-off style.

Responsibilities:

  • Report directly to the CFO, collaborating closely on strategic financial initiatives.
  • Lead and build out the FP&A function, delivering key financial insights to support the company’s growth.
  • Develop robust financial models and forecasts.
  • Drive strategic decision-making through financial reporting, analysis, and business partnering.
  • Oversee the budgeting process, ensuring alignment with company goals and long-term growth strategies.
  • Provide detailed analysis of revenue, costs, and profitability across multiple projects.
  • Strengthen financial controls and processes to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
  • Enhance financial governance, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Oversee and automate order-to-cash processes, optimizing working capital and liquidity management.
  • Drive the adoption of automation tools to streamline invoicing, collections, and cash forecasting.
  • Manage a finance team of 6.

Requirements:

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
  • 5+ years of finance leadership experience (preferably in high-growth start-ups) including contributing to a company’s financial strategy.
  • Strong FP&A and commercial finance skillset with the ability to be highly analytical and provide insight drawn from financial data.
  • Experience working with venture capital-backed companies, understanding the unique challenges and opportunities they face, with the ability to effectively and proactively manage investor relations and manage Board meetings

Benefits:

  • Base Salary: £130,000 - £150,000
  • Competitive benefits package.
  • Flexible working opportunities
  • Full benefits package available on request
