KC Group are recruiting on behalf of a dynamic and rapidly growing SME in Staffordshire, with a current turnover of £200m+ and ambitious plans for future expansion. As Finance Director, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the business, taking responsibility for the financial health of the company, ensuring strong financial governance, and providing strategic recommendations to support continued growth. Oversee all financial operations, including accounting, reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis. Lead the finance team and provide mentorship and development to ensure high performance. Partner with the MD and senior leadership team to contribute to key business decisions and drive strategic initiatives. Develop and implement robust financial systems and processes to improve efficiency and support scaling. Monitor and manage cash flow, ensuring the business maintains a strong financial position. Prepare detailed financial reports and present findings and recommendations to the board. Manage external relationships, including auditors, banks, and investors. Lead on financial due diligence for potential acquisitions and other growth opportunities. The Ideal Candidate: You will be a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with a strong commercial background and a proven track record of adding value within a fast-growing SME or similar environment. The successful candidate will demonstrate: Significant post-qualification experience, ideally within a business of similar scale (£50m+ revenue). Strong commercial acumen and the ability to influence strategic decisions at the board level. Exceptional leadership and people management skills, with experience developing high-performing finance teams. The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively. A track record of implementing financial controls and improving processes.
