Job Title: Interim Finance Director
Location: Shrewsbury
Remuneration: £80,000 - £90,000 per annum
Contract Details: Fixed Term Contract, 12 months
Responsibilities:
Take on the number one finance role, overseeing all areas of Finance including financial reporting and forecasting, compliance, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and cashflow management. Provide day-to-day support to the Managing Director, ensuring operational efficiency and supporting business strategy. Prepare monthly management accounts and forecasts accurately and on time. Develop and implement the annual budget to drive improved profitability. Collaborate with external accountants to ensure accurate preparation of financial statements. Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and standards. Present monthly financial reports to the Board, providing insightful recommendations to drive business performance. Conduct regular financial analysis, performance evaluations, and variance analysis. Monitor cash flow and liquidity, optimising working capital levels. Oversee the stock take process and establish policies for stock depreciation and write down. Identify and evaluate financial risks and develop strategies to mitigate them. Lead and mentor the finance team members, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.Qualifications and Skills:
Fully qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA or equivalent). Proven experience as a Head of Finance or similar role in a manufacturing, engineering, or construction-related industry. Project accounting experience would be advantageous. Strong knowledge of financial accounting principles, regulations, and standards. Proficiency in financial analysis, forecasting, and budgeting. Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial software and ERP systems. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Strong leadership and people management abilities.
