£45.09-£52ph Job Summary: We are seeking a proactive and experienced Finance Lead to oversee and enhance the financial operations of our Trust. This key leadership role ensures the effective management of financial systems, statutory compliance, and operational financial services. The Finance Lead will provide strategic and technical support across financial planning, reporting, and training, driving the integrity and efficiency of the Trust's financial operations. Key Responsibilities: Payroll Oversight and Issue Resolution: Address and resolve payroll issues, ensuring timely and accurate processing. Charity Review Coordination: Manage and complete the charity review currently in progress with Trust auditors (Azets). Operational Financial Services Management: Supervise outsourced financial services provided by NHS SBS, including supplier payments, transactional procurement (requisitions and purchase orders), payroll, and treasury management. Statutory Compliance and Reporting: Ensure the Trust complies with all statutory requirements, including producing Month and Year-end accounts, Charity Accounting, and VAT returns. Financial Planning and Cash Flow Management: Support organization-wide financial planning for the balance sheet and cash flow. Ensure accurate and reliable financial reporting to reflect the Trust's financial position. Debt Collection: Manage the collection of debts arising from salary overpayments. Training and Capacity Building: Deliver financial management training to budget holders in areas such as cash management, debtors, and capital expenditure. Reconciliations and Technical Guidance: Perform financial reconciliations and provide critical financial information. Advise on technical financial matters, including VAT, capital accounting, and lease accounting. Qualifications & Experience: Significant experience in finance management, ideally within the healthcare or public sector. Comprehensive understanding of statutory reporting, VAT regulations, and financial planning processes. Proven ability to manage outsourced financial services and resolve payroll issues. Strong leadership and training capabilities. Key Competencies: Strategic and analytical thinking. Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills. Strong communication and interpersonal abilities. High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
