Finance Lead/Lead Financial Accountant
One of our public sector clients is looking for a Finance Lead to join them for a 6 month contract. This role would be hybrid working 2 days per week based in Huntingdon. This role will be
inside IR35 and offering GBP450 per day.
You would be responsible for leading the Financial Accounts and Income team - with extra focus on covering the Assistant Director of Finance role including ensuring the integrity of the balance sheet including payroll, payments, receivables and SBS transactions oversight for monthly financial close, board reporting, submission and year end accounts.
Key skills and responsibilities required: Resolution of payroll issues Completion of charity review Daily oversight of the Operational Financial Services; Setup and Payment of Suppliers, Transactional procurement (Requisitions and Purchase Orders), payroll and treasury management. Ensuring compliance in producing various Statutory returns internally and externally ie Month and Year end accounts, Charity Accounting and VAT Returns. Supporting organisation wide Financial Planning of the Balance Sheet and Cash flow. Ensuring the integrity of the organisation's financial reporting system to support accurate record of the financial position. Debt collection resulting from Salary overpayments. Budget holder training for Financial Management in areas like Cash Management, debtors and capital expenditure.
