About the Role

We're looking for a

Management Accountant

to join our finance team in Derby. You will be responsible for preparing and presenting accurate financial information to senior management, ensuring data integrity, and linking financial performance to key insights.

You will actively contribute to the budgeting process alongside Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) and support various finance functions as required.

Your Day to Day Monthly Management Accounts : Prepare and present monthly management accounts for divisions, ensuring data is accurate, timely, and linked to financial performance with insightful commentary. Variance Analysis : Support the Head of Management Accounting in analysing variances and budget deviations, providing clear and actionable insights. Collaboration with Finance Business Partners : Assist in implementing and maintaining processes, ensuring compliance with Group accounting policies. Ad-hoc Reporting : Support the finance team with ad hoc requests for financial analysis and insights on past or future performance. Budget Planning & Cashflow Forecasting : Contribute to division-wide budget planning and assist in cashflow forecasting, providing recommendations to ensure financial stability. Qualifications, Training, Experience

A professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ACA, or equivalent), or working towards completion of one. Strong knowledge of financial systems and advanced Excel skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to engage with various stakeholders. Experience in a management accounting or finance-related role, with a focus on monthly reporting, variance analysis, and budgeting. A proven ability to manage competing priorities and work to deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Experience within the healthcare or service sectors is advantageous, but not essential.
