Reed Finance are working exclusively with a key client from the energy and services sector. Due to a sustained period of growth this SME is seeking a Finance Manager to join the small, friendly and dynamic team. This role is crucial for managing financial planning processes, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and supporting strategic decision-making.

Based in Stockton

Salary £50k

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and manage the company’s financial planning processes, including budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial modelling.

Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting to stakeholders, preparing financial statements, reports, and variance analysis.

Monitor and manage the company’s cash flow to ensure liquidity, forecasting cash needs, and optimising the use of financial resources.

Evaluate potential investment opportunities and conduct cost-benefit analysis.

Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards, identifying financial risks and developing strategies to mitigate them.

Implement cost control measures to ensure efficient use of resources, analysing costs associated with projects and operations to enhance profitability.

Act as a liaison between the finance department and other departments, communicating financial performance and strategy to stakeholders.

Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of accountability and professional development.

Participate in the company’s strategic planning process, providing financial insights and recommendations.

Manage the financial aspects of bid tenders, ensuring accurate financial figures are presented.


Required Skills & Qualifications:

Proven experience in financial planning, reporting, and investment analysis.

Strong understanding of financial regulations and compliance.

Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.

Leadership experience with the ability to mentor and develop a team.

Strong communication skills, capable of effectively presenting and explaining financial information.

Proficiency in financial software and Excel.

Experience in the renewable energy sector is a plus.
