Finance Manager

to join our management team. As Finance Manager, you will be at the heart of Zenith Energy's financial strategy and operations, providing critical insights and leadership to support our growth journey. You will collaborate closely with our Directors and senior management team overseeing all aspects of the finance department and ensure that financial goals are met in alignment with business objectives. This is a senior role that comes with a wide range of key responsibilities including but not limited to: Strategic Financial Leadership:

Lead all financial operations and activities, developing and implementing strategies that align with Zenith Energy’s growth goals. Provide insights to senior management to help shape the business’s financial decisions. Financial Planning & Forecasting:

Oversee the budgeting and forecasting process, ensuring that plans align with both short-term and long-term business objectives. You’ll help set financial targets, monitor performance, and provide actionable recommendations for improvements. Reporting & Analysis:

Manage financial reporting, including monthly management account reviews, variance analysis, and other key performance metrics. Produce high-quality reports to inform strategic decisions and ensure financial transparency across the organisation. Cash Flow Optimisation:

Work closely with cross-functional teams to oversee client billing processes, ensuring robust procedures are in place to optimise cash flow and mitigate financial risks. Annual Budgeting & Audit:

Develop the annual budget process and ensure it is aligned with company targets. Lead the annual audit plan and ensure all financial activities are compliant with relevant regulations and industry standards. Internal Controls & Process Improvement:

Develop and implement finance policies and procedures that promote operational efficiency, cost savings, and financial accuracy. Ensure that strong internal controls are in place and regularly evaluate processes for improvement opportunities. Team Development:

Manage and develop a small finance team, providing mentorship and guidance to ensure professional growth and continuous learning. About you: You will hold a professional accountancy qualification with a degree in finance, accounting, or a business-related discipline. You will have the Right to Work in the UK as no sponsorship will be given. You will have proven experience working within a project-driven environment gained directly in an SME in the energy industry. Strong background in financial management, the ability to leverage discussions positively with strong commercial awareness, high integrity and good governance approach, a track record of developing finance personnel at varying levels.
