To provide relevant, accurate, and timely information to our customers, both internal and external, to safeguard the assets of the company, and to ensure the effectiveness of internal controls. Main Duties and Responsibilities Management Related Duties Supervise Finance team, including setting performance targets. Record to Report Related Duties Accurate and timely submission of results for consolidation and statutory purposes. Preparation and presentation of management accounts and financial reports. Contribute to variance analysis. Maintain compliance with relevant legislation and accounting policies. Be the main point of contact for internal/external audit. Tax responsibilities (VAT returns, company tax returns, PSA agreement). Purchase to Pay Related Duties Check bank details of new suppliers. Close Purchase ledger and reconcile to G/L. Order to Cash Related Duties Run credit reports for new customers. Set up new customer accounts in ERP. Monitor customer rebates. Close Sales Ledger and reconcile to G/L. Treasury Related Duties Release Ad-Hoc payments. Foreign Branch Related Duties Verify and authorise foreign branch payments. Prepare VAT returns and provide figures for tax returns. Liaise with UK service provider for statutory reporting. Compile trial balance for yearly statutory accounts. Be focal contact point for external audit of foreign branch. Other/Ad Hoc Duties Participate in projects (local or Group). Promote continuous improvement. Ensure compliance with Quality, Environmental, and Health & Safety policies. Complete government statistical forms. Knowledge, Skills and Competencies Preferably part qualified or working towards professional qualification, or possess relevant experience. Sound analytical and problem-solving skills. Good working knowledge of accounting systems. Understanding of common business practices. Up-to-date knowledge of accountancy, VAT, and taxation. Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills. Self-motivated and able to work well independently and in a team. Ability to prioritise and coordinate multiple tasks. Good user knowledge of Microsoft packages. Understanding of Company policies (Health & Safety, Environmental, Quality). Office-based with possibility of remote working. Occasional visits to Company partners (may require protective clothing/equipment).
