About the role

The GelBottle Inc. is growing fast, and we're looking for a Finance Manager to join our vibrant, founder-led team! If you're passionate about working in a fast-paced environment and eager to contribute to an exciting mix of B2B and B2C brands, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!

This role is ideal if you are a fully qualified Practice Accountant with a background in audit, who is ideally looking to make their first move to Industry. You will utilise your technical knowledge to assist with the controls and processes being implemented across the Finance team and the wider organisation, making a noticeable difference in your role from day one.

You could expect to help train the more junior members of the Finance team, and partner with the Group FC and CFO to assist with month-end preparation, ad hoc project work, improvement of internal financial controls, and to make a real impact in the future growth of the organisation. Overall, your focus will be to up-skill the team ensuring we are audit ready YOY across of Group structure which includes:

  • Global retail of market leading beauty products
  • International procurement and supply chain
  • International warehouse operations
  • Luxury property/villa rentals
  • Luxury Spa/salon

In this role, you could expect to:

    • Manage transactional activities across the Group, including accounts receivables, payables, and stock, ensuring accuracy and timely processing, with a focus on automation through Netsuite.
    • Train and support team members in recording and reconciling transactions, maintaining high standards for accuracy and timeliness.
    • Strengthen internal controls across finance and the wider business to ensure integrity, completeness, and timeliness of reported figures.
    • Conduct P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow analysis, providing insights on future business impact and preparing monthly Group reports, budgets, and forecasts.
    • Support year-end accounts and audits, perform internal control audits, and lead ad hoc projects for improved efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

This role is hybrid, 2 days a week onsite at our Brighton HQ.

About you:

You must have recently gained your full chartered Accountant qualification (ACA/ACCA) or equivalent, and have a comprehensive understanding of financial accounting within FMCG, retail, marketing, or media throughout your years in practice. We think you'll also need:

  • Strong experience in inventory management.
  • Expertise in balance sheet reconciliations (e.g., VAT, payroll, inter-company balances).
  • Proven ability to train and manage and/or mentor a team.
  • Personable, with a knack for building relationships across the business.
  • Familiarity with NetSuite (not essential).
  • A desire to drive continuous improvement within the Finance team, increasing capabilities and system functions to support the whole Group.
